Well thank you, anon. I’m happy you enjoyed that fic. I haven’t read very much new stuff lately because I’ve been so busy with my second job and writing in every bit of my spare time, but maybe some of the folks hanging out on my blog have! Maybe they can share a rec or two! I always reblog fics I see that I’d like to read later, and this is a genre I enjoy, so checking my blog out for those posts might be a good idea if you’re interested!

oh man, such a good question. I think the better one is ‘how do you keep motivated to go through life until you have time to write?’ Hahha… I have so much passion for the fics I am working on. Every one of them I’ve started I have a connection to, and it feels so bad when I can’t put the amount of emotional energy into each and every one that I’d like to. 

This being said, sometimes the emotional motivation that is needed to write just isn’t there, and one thing I’ve learned very slowly is that you’ve just got to allow that to be the case. Even if you have time, and you are sitting there in front of the computer wanting to write and feeling like the juice isn’t there…it’s okay. It’s time to nourish your soul. A lot of the fillers that go into the space between my updates are me doing things like laying in bed for 7 hours reading a book, or spending 5 hours decorating a house in Sims. Took me a long time to accept that writing, while a very deep love of mine, is not my job, and to make it one takes the joy away. 

-always- take care of yourself.  creativity is like a cup, and you drain it, and filling it back up again isn’t always something you do with ideas or will power or what have you. It’s with stuff like allowing yourself to feel free and happy so you can imagine, and dream. 🙂

You might be on to some part of something there, anon. 😉

The thing w/ GW is that certain things might happen a good deal before Hux is ready to admit he might have feelings. And his motivations…aren’t totally pure. But. I only write happy endings, even for evil overlords. 🙂

I wish I could just do nothing but write this fic. No work, no other writing. But I have things to finishhhhhhhh. I haven’t been so excited about a story I’ve created in forever, I don’t think.

Hux is definitely starting to begin to trek down the road to Insight, and it’s taken him 71k to get over his bitterness enough to start to wonder how he can m a n i p u l a t e Kylo instead of fight him. Only by the time he gets around to it, the line between real and false motivation to treat Ren as an equal and more is too blurred for Hux to keep his own feelings out of it. 

I started writing GW with two images that I really wanted to include. One was Ren stopping the shuttle as he did in C10, and there’s another one coming up where Hux does more than hold Ren’s ‘saber. I A B S O L U T E L Y have to have a piece of art for it and I’m already planning on asking someone. :)))

I’m definitely going to finish it. I feel bad basically all the time for how long it takes me to update stuff. It was a bad move on my part to start so many projects before finishing the one that came before. Now I have two jobs and I’m working 60+ hours a week so writing is even slower. 😦

But I promise, I will finish it. It’s important to me in a variety of ways that I do so, from a sense of obligation to the folks that have stuck around reading my WIP for years and to my characters and also to myself, because it makes me feel accomplished to complete something. 

Thanks for putting up with how slow I am.

eeee thank you! i had so much fun writing that fic with @brawlite who is awesomesauce. It’s fun to drag it out for Halloween and wild to realize this will be its second Halloween of life! (or is it third?)

I’ve definitely been trying to make GW creepy af because that’s totally how I see that planet. I haven’t even unveiled all my scary stuff. What you’ve seen so far is like, not the worst of it. >:)

I’m excited for Huxloween, but I am really not doing great at the idea of taking a break despite my best intentions. I’ve got legit 4 chapters of various things going all at once right now, have my whole Huxloween story (it’s one story with like, 6 prompts) completely outlined and ready to go and I’m mildly manic so… WE WILL JUST SEE.
