Armitage Hux is almost a hundred years old, and it’s been a shite existence. Being a vampire isn’t as glamorous as you might think. He’s lonely, hungry, and picks up hustlers and streetwalkers to assuage those needs. One night he picks up a young man named Ben, who is not exactly what he seems to be.
Thanks to @curlygingerbird for this Amazing illustration of Hux in Chapter 4 of the fic Gravity Well by @kyluxtrashcompactor, who is a fantastic writer and a really sweet person. Thank you for allowing me to feel this Hux part of me. You are only talent and kindness!

Hux has balls of vibranium …Kylo has to show he respect’s Hux lack of fear in the next movie.
Hux sassing Kylo here is such a ballsy move that I have to remind myself every time that this happens AFTER the force choke.
I love how this scene proves that Kylo DOES listen to Hux, because Hux would have totally gotten away with shushing Kylo if he had known when to shut up. He seems to understand how to placate Kylo (with firm words and a calm tone) but misjudges the extent of Kylo’s emotional turmoil. Hux is only focused on winning the battle and assumes that Kylo is too, but all Kylo cares about at this point is Luke.
I think the reason Kylo lashes out at Hux is because he knows Hux is right – Kylo himself is aware that he is distracted, that he can’t let go of his past(even though he just gave that speech to Rey) and that winning the battle should be their top priority. But he hates that Hux KNOWS THIS, that he sees right through Kylo and dares to point it out loud.
Thus if Hux ever hopes to successfully manipulate the SL, he has to be aware of Kylo’s buttons and just how much he can push them, but it is evident that he IS allowed to push them. They are going to have a fun time figuring those boundaries out.
