December 1: artists, please submit a progress photo to us and to your author at this point. If we do not receive one, we will reassign to a pitch hitter. At this time, we will also assign the holiday doodles to interested artists.
December 16: authors, please submit your drabble at this time. We will indicate how many words it should be when the months are assigned. The required words will be based on how much space is available in that month. It likely will not be over 100 words.
December 23: Due date! Please email completed artwork at this time!
December 31: We’ll post the PDF of the calendar:
A few things to keep in mind:
Apologies in advance if you don’t get your first choice in month/holiday! We’ll do our best to assign you your first choice, but keep in mind some holidays, such as Valentine’s, Halloween, or Christmas may be more popular than others. In the event this project has a lot of interest, the artist will be randomly chosen. If you unfortunately end up with no assignment at all, we will give you a holiday doodle (or two!) instead.
This calendar is intended to be printable, so please size the artwork to print on a landscape, 11”x8.5” (or A4-ish) canvas with at least a 0.5” border.
Doodle artwork will need to scale to 2”x1.5” printed.
Please keep in close touch with your artist/author partner! The drabbles and artwork should match in theme!

A somewhat surreal painting of Kylo and Armitage in bed. I imagine this takes place sometime after Hux rescues Ren, while he is still recovering from his injuries. Hux works late often and occasionally visits Kylo in the sickbay to give him status reports by the orders of Snoke. Kylo, in a delirious state, begins to feel a greater attachment to Armitage and even wishes to confide in him, although afraid of how the other would respond. After much resistance, Ren manages to persuade Hux to sleep beside him as a way of comfort. While finding this strange, Armitage too has long suppressed desires for companionship and a close attachment with another human being, even to be held, never thinking that such a person might be Ren. They talk late into the night. The stage of innocence for their relationship.
so I won’t be in time for Star Wars Day or Revenge of the Fifth, but I *am* working on something for mermay, and @kyluxtrashcompactor is already planning out ideas for it~
