On Sight (Spiritassassin)

I wanted to write something about Chirrut, about how his being blind is not a tragedy. I’m not sure if I managed, but here it is. For @guardianchirrut I hope you like it ❤

“His eyes are weak.” It was something he’d always heard, almost as if people were apologizing for him, for some fault.

Chirrut had been born with different abilities. When he was little he realized he didn’t see the world like other kids did. He could barely distinguish colors and some shapes, but this didn’t bother him. What he couldn’t perceive with his eyes, he could sense in a different, deeper way. Chirrut almost felt like it was the other children who were missing out on something.
