Summary: After sensing the First Order’s inevitable defeat and abandoning it, Hux has become an emperor with an ever-expanding empire. It’s all Hux has ever strived for so he doesn’t understand why his life feels increasingly empty. When Phasma introduces Hux to a man named Kylo Ren who becomes his bodyguard, Hux begins forming a companionship and affection for Ren that he never expected.
However, Hux’s budding feelings for his bodyguard are further complicated when he realizes Ren is hiding something, and that Hux’s memories are missing important pieces from his past. Ren has all the answers. All Hux needs to do is decide what he’s going to do with the truth when it is finally revealed.

AHHH really??? I had so much fun writing it with @brawlite . It holds a good place in my heart. 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoyed it !!!
When medication says “do not operate heavy machinery” they’re probably mainly referring to cars, but my mind always goes to forklift.
Consider
Ok so I’m thinking wannabe alpha Hux, whose actually an omega, and wannabe omega Kylo, whose actually an alpha.
How validating though! Spending their whole lives feeling wrong and never able to say it aloud.
Hux is bullied at the Academy for trying to pass as Alpha. “Omega bitch,” they’d sneered, “What you need is a heat breeding to put you in your place.”
Kylo’s own Master would seek to beat the desire to be an Omega from his flesh. “You were born into this power,” Snoke roars, “Now use it!”
They meet and turn from enemies to lovers and when Hux pins down Kylo’s hands, he melts into it. “Breed me, Alpha.” Kylo breathes and the game is on.
After, sated in each other, they talk. They conspire. No one will define their status again, they decide. No one.

In Our Blood
It hadn’t cooperated before, but perhaps the watery pit on Ahch-To would give Kylo his path, his future, his means to success. With the always-plotting General Hux at his side, Kylo is sucked into a reality where ‘keep your enemies closer’ is an understatement.

Chapter 9 has arrived, in which a mystery is solved in an unexpected way, Hux find himself in a compromised situation, and Ren makes an offer.

“They took of holo of me,” he says, punctuating the silence with a drag on his cigarette. “A gaudy thing, made me pose and everything. Not my idea of course.”
He hears Ren’s sharp intake of breath, loud in the darkness. Hux remembers the holo exactly. The bright red brand of the cigarette the only light, the Senator’s blood still warm on his shirt–searing his skin. He’d known even then it would mean a promotion. General Hux.
He wasn’t sure why he’d let them take the holo. Or perhaps he simply hadn’t yet admitted it to himself. That awful truth that people were easiest to manipulate when they were all just the slightest bit in love with you. He stroked his fingers through Ren’s hair, contemplative in the silence.
Ren fidgets in the bed beside him. “Show me,” he pleads.
“I didn’t keep it,” he replies, furrowing his brow in annoyance.
“No,” says Ren, pressing a palm against either side of Hux’s face, grip hot, the weight of his body stifling. Familiar, always too familiar. Taking liberties. He presses his forehead against Hux’s, breath mingling. “Show me. Hux. Please.”
“Ren.” He shouldn’t, he knows. Shouldn’t give the Knight this piece of him, this private glimpse into his mind. To give Ren an inch is to give him a mile. But he does, anyway, despite himself–relaxes into Ren’s touch and opens his mind. And its easy, so easy to let him in.
He needs to keep his distance.
Ren’s breath hitches subtly in his throat and Hux knows he can see it, but all Hux can see is Ren. Ren, above him, illuminated and darkened in the shifting light of his cigarette. Shadows bloom, catching in the hollow of his throat, threading into his dark hair as he closes his eyes. The movement of chest and shoulders and neck as he breathes.
Yes, thinks Hux, he needs to keep his distance.
